The Halcyon Ward, looking down the centre aisle

What is on the clip

Black frame with a running timecode reading 13 NOV 1986 03:29:52.

At eight seconds the picture returns all at once — not fading in, not a cloth being lifted, simply present.

The ward is lit at the far end by a single fixture. Twelve beds. Every bed is made: mattress covered, blanket folded in thirds at the foot, pillow squared.

Nothing in the room moves for the remaining twenty-two seconds. There is no draught, no dust drift, nothing.

A comparison still from 21:44 the previous evening is available in the security file. In that still the same twelve beds are stripped to the frame and the mattresses are stacked against the left wall.

Between those two pictures the door log records no entry. The mattresses are not in the later frame. They are not anywhere in the later frame.
