CAM-01 VESTIBULE
Intake vestibule, facing the turnstile
Playback is optional. The description below is complete.
What is on the clip
The intake vestibule at night. Wet floor. The turnstile in the centre of frame. The burned-in timecode reads 13 NOV 1986 04:09:30. The vestibule is empty. Rain is visible through the glass behind the turnstile. At eleven seconds the turnstile begins to rotate. It completes one full quarter turn at the speed and rhythm of a person walking through it — the initial resistance, the give, the follow-through, the damped stop. Nobody is in the frame at any point. The floor is wet and unmarked before the rotation and wet and unmarked after it. At fourteen seconds the badge dispenser tray, which is in shot at the left edge, advances one position with an audible mechanical action visible as a small jolt. A badge is presented into the tray. The clip ends at 04:09:54. The next clip in the sequence is timecoded 04:19:00 and is nine minutes of an empty vestibule.
