RESEARCH FACILITY TO WIND DOWN NIGHT PROGRAMME

The Halcyon Research Complex on the Cold Harbor headland will conclude its
overnight observation programme at the end of the month, a spokesman for
Vessel Integrated Systems confirmed yesterday.

"The programme has run its course and produced the results we hoped for,"
the spokesman said. "Participants will complete their scheduled periods and
return home in the ordinary way."

The facility employs thirty-one people. No redundancies are expected.

[In the margin, in pencil:]

Yesterday. This was said YESTERDAY.

The 12th was yesterday. This went to press at six in the evening on the 12th,
which is four hours before Kessler signed in and ten hours before any of it.

They knew what the results were going to be before the night happened.
